One of my favorite ways to use the Enneagram is to love my people in a way that is best for them. Once you know your loved ones’ Enneagram Type, you can approach them with even more compassion and grace. Before diving deep in to the Enneagram, I never really considered that each of us need different things from our loved ones to make us feel truly love. Take a look at each of these illustration to see how to best love each Type.

Type 1 – The Idealist
Type 1s are thoughtful and dependable and will be dedicated to doing the right thing in their relationships.
Type 2 – The Giver
Type 2s will be nurturing and attentive and will try to address their partner’s emotional needs.

Type 3s are charming and productive. They will bring hard work and every to any partnerships.
Type 4 – The Romantic
Type 4s are authentic and expressive. They will help to encourage their partner to access their emotions.
Type 5 – The Observer
Type 5s are intellectual and curious. They will respect their partner’s independence.
Type 6 – The Supporter
Type 6s are reliable and fun-loving. They will loyally show up in their relationships.
Type 7 – The Adventurer
Type 7s tend to be spontaneous and positive. They will always be up for a new adventure with their partner.
Type 8 – The Protector
Type 8s are assertive and strong, but they will show their softer, more tender side to those who they trust.
Type 9 – The Mediator
Type 9s are calm and non-judgmental. One of their relationship strengths is making their partner feel deeply seen and heard.
