How to Find Your Enneagram Type
The Enneagram is simply a system of personality typing that describes the nine personality types. Your type is is defined by your core belief about how the world works. It helps you identify you core motivations and fears.
Identifying your Enneagram Type is your first step in understanding yourself and your loved ones in a compassionate, loving way. Finding your Enneagram type will help you live your life with more joy, hope, and growth!

After taking the test, here’s what you need to know. Note your TOP 3 types, not just your top type. Why? No enneagram test is 100% accurate, but you are very likely to be one of those top 3 types!
Step 2: Research

To really identify your true type, you will need to do a little research to confirm your type. After reading the descriptions of your top 3 types from our Test, you may still want to do more research. Our FREE 9 Types Guide will give you a description of each of the types. Once you take our Enneagram Personality Type Test, you will receive an email with our 9 Types Guide. The Guide will walk you through the core desires, fears, longings and weaknesses of each type. Don’t skip this type because it will help you to understand each Enneagram Type better.
If you’d like to know in even more details about each type, one book I recommend is The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self Discovery. Reading this book really solidified my understanding of my type and even each member of my family’s type. Researching about the enneagram will give you a better understanding of the types so you can make an educated determination of your own type.
Step 3: Reflect
If your enneagram type isn’t obvious or you can’t decide between a couple of types, it’s okay to take some time to reflect on the information you have gathered. You might talk to friends and family that know you well to also explore you decision. However, you know yourself the best. Although friends may see you behaviors, only you will know what motivated those behaviors. Take a little time to reflect on your type before deciding if you are struggling. There’s no rush to decide!
Step 4: Growth
Congratulations! If you have gotten to Step 4, then you have probably determined you enneagram type. But, don’t let your journey end here. Keep learning more about your type and how it will contribute to your self understanding. With more self-understanding, you will experience more true joy in your life!
