My son’s second grade teacher loves a local Mexican restaurant that my son also happens to love. When I asked him what we should get her for Valentine’s Day, he immediately said a gift certificate to the restaurant! He may be secretly wishing that she will take him along with her!
After purchasing the gift certificate, I thought about the DIY Mini Piñatas from our Mexican Supper Club. They are the perfect size for gift wrapping a gift certificate. I rolled up the gift certificate and put it, along with a few chocolates, in the piñata.
The mini valentines piñata was attached to a valentines card with “Happy Valentines” written in Spanish. You can download the free card here: Feliz.Valentin.Card For a tutorial on making the mini piñata, please visit this post.
For my son’s Valentine’s Day party at school, we prepared a couple of other crafts. I signed up to bring drinks for the party. Luckily, just a couple of days ago, Katherine Marie posted the an adorable idea for a Valentines Water Bottle. Her site has some of the most amazing homemade ideas for kids. She is probably my favorite Instagram follow! If you aren’t following her, hop over and do so.
For Valentine’s cards, Pear Tree Greetings provided me with some of their fantastic cards. Of course, my little baseball loving guy picked out their baseball photo tags. We made chocolate covered baseball Oreos to go with them.
The quality of the cards from Pear Tree Greetings was fantastic. They used thick cardstock and they came with satin ribbon ties. I will definitely check out their site for future Valentines cards.
Hope you and your littles have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!!
