Teachers must some of the most patient people that ever existed. Every year, when school starts, I think that there is no way that this year’s teacher can be as good as the last year’s teacher. But, every year, I’m pleasantly surprised at how wonderful each one is to my kids. My Sam has never liked school. In Kindergarten, he would ask to have his temperature taken about 4 out of the 5 mornings each week in hopes that he would have a fever, so I would let him stay home. Even though he hated going to school, once he was there, I knew he was happy because of his wonderful teacher, Ms. Brown. She was like a ray of pure goodness and light and he adored her.
Each year, we have been lucky to have amazing teachers. And, finally, now that he is in 4th grade, he doesn’t complain about going to school each day. That transformation can be attributed to all of the wonderful teachers he has been lucky to have. This year is no exception. Sam’s teacher, Ms. Jones, is a perfect combination of warmth, strength, and dignity. He insisted that we buy her jewelry for Teacher’s Appreciation Week. How cute is that?!? Hopefully, he will continue on buying jewelry for all of his favorite ladies. I’m sure that will take him far in life!!
To make this sweet little flower gift, I repotted a purchased indoor plant in a small florist’s cube. I purchased both the plant and the glass cube in the floral department at the grocery store. To finish it off, I used baker’s twine to tie on our Teacher’s Appreciation free printable thank you tags. To download and print these tags, please see the end of the post.
This would also be a great idea for a Mother’s Day gift for your girlfriends or if you’re hosting a group of moms for Mother’s Day. The printable is also available for Mother’s Day at the end of the post. The tag simply reads, “Happy Mother’s Day”.
