The 5 Love Languages + The Enneagram

One of the nicest things about getting older is realizing that some of the things you spent years judging yourself for are actually parts of yourself you hadn’t learned to understand yet 🤍

For a long time, worrying was one of those things for me.

I spent so many years believing that because I questioned my decisions, imagined what could go wrong, and needed reassurance, I must not be very good at trusting myself.

Then I discovered I was an Enneagram Type 6, and suddenly so many things about myself made sense.

It didn’t make the overthinking vanish overnight (🤦🏻‍♀️I wish). But it helped me understand why my mind worked the way it did, and that made it easier to treat myself with a little more kindness.

That’s one of the reasons I love the Enneagram. It’s not that nine personality types can explain everything about a person, but sometimes just having the words to describe your patterns can shift the way you see yourself.

I think that’s a pretty important part of creating a Good Life ✨

🚨 If you don’t know your Enneagram type yet, comment FIND, and I’ll send you my FREE Enneagram test!

If you’ve already found your type, I’m curious, did learning about it change how you understand yourself?

Spooky season, but make it Enneagram coded👻😂

Forget ghosts and haunted houses, nothing strikes fear into the heart of an Enneagram type quite like these things.

Find your type and tell me if these are accurate for you? 🎃👇

I have a good life. I also have a brain that can be very good at worrying about it, rushing through it, or thinking about what’s next instead of enjoying what’s happening now 🙃

So I’m going to get back to what helps me truly feel happy. For the next 30 weekdays, I’m going to be more intentional about practicing the small things proven to help us feel happier in the life I already have, and I’ll share what happens here.

Some days we’ll talk about overthinking and the Enneagram. Some days it’ll be gratitude, connection, slowing down, savoring something ordinary, or finally taking a step toward something that matters to me. These 30 days are all about small practices and seeing whether, over time, they add up to something meaningful.

There’s also another reason I want to do this. These are the practices behind The Art of the Good Life, a 30-day experience I created around my CREATE framework to help you put all of these ideas into practice in your own life.

So while I’ll be sharing pieces of my experiment here, you can start your own 30 days with me. The Art of the Good Life is officially available now 🤍 Comment “GOOD” to get a link sent to your DMs. Or, if you’d rather just follow along, you’re welcome to stay and see how it unfolds.

Thirty practices over six weeks, with one very curious and overthinking guinea pig. I’m excited to see what unfolds.

Hello, October 🎃🍁🧡

A new month doesn’t require a whole new you. Consider this your October reminder that you are already strong, capable, loved, and worthy. You’re allowed to keep growing without being critical of yourself along the way.

Here’s to a month of cozy things, small joys, imperfect progress, and remembering that you matter so much exactly where you are 🍂

Which reminder do you need most this month?

A few things we’re leaving behind this week 🧡🍁

And after a week when the news has felt particularly heavy, this reminder feels important. Taking care of yourself doesn’t mean you don’t care about what’s happening in the world. You’re allowed to step away from your phone, rest, find something that brings you joy, and protect a little bit of your peace.

You don’t have to wait until everything is resolved, everyone else is happy, or you finally feel ready to enjoy your life.

Put down what isn’t yours to carry. Be a little kinder to yourself. And make room for something good today 🧡🍂

Yep, every Enneagram type is Patient Zero for some

Give me a cozy blanket, something pumpkin-y in the oven, a Fall movie I’ve already seen 14 times, and someone I love on the couch next to me and I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be this time of year 🧡 🎃🍪👻

Tag your bestie who also loves to light a pumpkin candle, bake cookies, and romanticize staying in this fall 🍂✨

What Halloween movie are we watching first? 👇
