Good morning! After several humid days in the 90s to start off September, our weather here is actually starting to feel like Fall for the first time. These cooler temps inspired me to go ahead and pull out a few simple Fall kitchen decor touches. I started with the kitchen since we spend so much of our time, there.
I wanted to add a few little touches without going overboard in the kitchen. I mostly added some cut branches along with fall kitchen decor that I already had from past years. Also, fall fruits, like apples, are one of my favorite accessories for an autumn kitchen.
Since our kitchen has white cabinets, with white and grey quartzite counters, I also like to incorporate touches of wood to warm up the kitchen, like this wood tray. This little ceramic fox also adds a fall touch (similar one available here).
I recently picked up an inexpensive wood cutting board at Target. Fall is all about gathering with friends and family, so I lettered “gather together” on the wood board for Fall. I think I may letter on the other side with this Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Marker, Fine Point, Red Ink when the holidays arrive. I love these little sugar cellars and salt cellars from Target and they fit perfectly together in this wood tray.
I cut several small branches from a Japanese Maple tree in our yard to place in a white ceramic vase. The tree was starting to look overgrown, so I was able to do a little yardwork and decorating all in one 😉
Cozy snacks, like cinnamon rolls are perfect this time of year. If you happen to have leftover or store bought cinnamon rolls, then try warming them up in a small baking pan in the toaster oven. It gives them a crispiness that you can’t get when you warm them up in the microwave. It’s an easy trick to get that homemade feel without having to spend the time doing it. Another way to get that fresh homemade smell in your kitchen is with a delicious smelling candle. This one is our Spiced Cider Wine Glass Candle.
A few white pumpkins in a wood bowl add a bright, but rustic feel to our eat-in kitchen table. The floral arrangement was leftover from a recent birthday celebration.
Buffalo check pillows are my favorite pillow to add to the house during the Fall. You can find this Buffalo Plaid pillow case here.
I like to keep the mantle over the stove pretty simple. This driftwood wreath is simple, yet perfect for the Fall. I also added one an 8×10 print of our “It’s Fall Y’all” chalkboard print.
I hope you enjoyed our simple Fall Kitchen Decor. I’ll be sharing more fall decorating ideas in other rooms in our house over the next few weeks.
