School starts in just a week here! I can’t believe it’s already that time of year! And, my baby is starting middle school. I might be a little bit in denial about the whole deal! It’s definitely been a little different with a boy starting middle school than when my daughter started a few years ago. He really hasn’t been too nervous or worried about it. Or maybe he just hasn’t talked about it as much as remember my daughter talking about it. Plus, I’m sure it has helped him to watch his sister go through it before him.
But, I did want to give him a little treat to celebrate the start of middle school. So, this I gathered all the items for him for a middle school survival kit to go into the bottom of his backpack. It includes all the little essentials that would be nice to have, but that he might not think to pack in his back pack. First, I thought he would appreciate some snacks and breath fresheners. And, I recall bringing my daughter ibuprofen on more than one occasion, so I included that. Also, extra pens and pencils were included just in case he runs out. Of course, he’ll probably appreciate the phone charger the most of all the items! Since boys don’t want anything too fancy, I just placed all the items in a large plastic resealable bag.
Since I made my Sam a school survival kit, I didn’t want to leave out Mira. The kits are essentially the same. I did, however, get Mira a small makeup bag to put all the items into.
And, if you are looking for back to school survival kits for teachers, I have also put together some of those in the past. You can view them, here.
