Are your kids celebrating Dr. Seuss at school this week? We love all of our Dr. Seuss books and I love that schools now celebrate him and reading for a week each year. I’m about to leave to deliver these Cat in the Hat inspired Push Up Pops to my son’s first grade class. But, before I leave, I wanted to share the little goodies with you.
I used this recipe to make these little guys. To make the pops look a little more like the Cat in the Hat, I added a white card stock circle for the hat brim and a baker’s twine bow, like the Cat wears. I have one caveat for you — make sure your pops containers will hold liquid before you pour the jello in the containers. And, if you have two different type of containers, test both types. If you test one type and assume the other works the same way, you might just end up with a red, gooey mess on your kitchen counter. Don’t ask me how I know that 😉
