If you have a little chef that would love having a cooking themed birthday party, these inexpensive, but adorable hand painted wooden utensils make a great choice for a party favor. We recently hosted a Chopped Inspired Party for my daughter and her friends. For a party favor, we sent home these utensils painted in the same color palette as the party. It’s a great choice for a kids’ party because kids can help paint the utensils, too. To finish them off, we tied a ribbon around them and added a tag from our Cooking Party Printable Collection. The girls were very excited to take home their very own set of cooking utensils! Just make sure to remind guests to only hand wash these utensils.
What you’ll need:
Wooden Utensils
Craft Paint
Painters Tape
Instructions:
- Tape off utensils in the pattern you’d like. For some of the utensils, we made four stripes; for others, we only used three.
- Paint portions of utensils.
- Let dry for a few minutes. Remove tape. Let dry completely. We place a trash bag on the edge of our kitchen counter. Then, we laid the utensils on the bag, letting the painted ends hang off the end. That way, they were able to dry without sticking to the counters or the bag.
