It’s almost Fall, y’all!! It has certainly felt like Fall here in Kentucky, this last weekend. The weather has turned and crisp, cooler air has finally arrived. The official start of Fall is September 22nd, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up on one of your favorite summertime desserts – ice cream. Instead, just bring some flavors of Fall to your next Ice Cream Party.
You can create Sweet Fall Ice Cream Party with just a fun Autumn flavors and decorations. For this Fall Ice Cream Party, I first incorporated a bright Fall inspired color palette of pumpkin, mint, coral and pale pink. Using that color palette as a starting point, I brought in some fun, rustic party elements.
The party invitation includes all of the colors of the color palette with a fun layout. Ice cream was also served in these adorable ice cream bowls.
Pink Lemonade was served in glass milk bottles wrapped with our bottle labels. Mint polka dot straws topped with our coordinating drink flags. The bottle labels were attached using a fun new product, Tombow USA’s Xtreme Adhesive. I’ll be back later today to show you how I used the Xtreme Adhesive on many of printable paper products in the party.
The first way the party incorporated Fall flavors was with the ice cream flavors. I chose three of my favorite Fall flavor choices: Graeter’s Pumpkin, Graeter’s Mint Chocolate Chip, and Dulce de Leche. All of these choices pair well with other Fall flavors. I also on hand some vanilla ice cream. The ice cream galvanized tub was labeled with one of our ice cream party favors 3″ chalkboard tag. The tag also coordinates with the chalkboard art backdrop.
I also chose Fall inspired topping choices. Candy pumpkins, crushed ginger snap cookies, butterscotch chips, and peanuts were placed in little crystal dishes. Mini chalkboard tags were tied to each of the dishes with jute twine.
Sprinkles, chocolate chips and coconut were also served in mini white ceramic dishes. I attached the mini chalkboard labels to the front of the dishes.
My absolute favorite topping for this party was the warm, homemade Pumpkin Caramel Sauce. Stay tuned later this week for the easy recipe.
In addition to the little ice cream dishes, ice cream was also served on chocolate dipped sugar cones. I chose mint and pale pink chocolate to coordinate with the party.
To finish off the dessert table, chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing were topped with our Ice Cream Party cupcake toppers. Again, I used the Xtreme Adhesive to attach the party circles to lollipop sticks.
Little kraft favor bags were filled with adorable ice cream lollipops from Oriental Trading for guests to take home. To dress up the lollipops, our patterned drink flags were attached to the sticks with the Xtreme Adhesive.
