I’m thrilled to share the latest Collection in the Mirabelle Creations Etsy Shop. This Easter Party was created for the March edition of Tops in Lex. The inspiration for the party was seersucker and bow ties — two favorite Southern spring fashion items.
The Seersucker and Bow Ties Easter Printable Party Collection, which includes invitations, drink flags, “Happy Easter” banner, 2″ party circles, “Easter Blessings” 5×7 sign, place cards or food tents, water bottle labels and thank you tags, can be purchased here.
For this party, I styled this dessert table using several simple Spring touches. First, I made several little seersucker bows to use for the decor. (Look for the tutorial in the near future). I simply attached them to table items, like this hobnob vase and ceramic bunny, using a glue dot. Blue hydrangeas were the perfect spring flower and added a little pop of blue to the table.
For an Easter spread or other Spring party, I like choosing lighter, fruit based desserts. These delicious Strawberry Filled Vanilla Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream from the The Twisted Sifter were topped with the cupcake toppers from the Collection.
French Macarons in assorted flavors are a light and fluffy Easter dessert. The assorted macarons sat upon a mini yellow cake stand from Target.
Vanilla Meringues are another great choice for an Easter dessert table. I love that they are made with egg whites since eggs are such an ubiquitous Easter item.
Angel Food Cake is probably my favorite Easter cake because it reminds me of the angel that guarded the empty tomb. I simply placed a store bought Angel Food Cake on a white cake stand. It was topped with whipped topping and toasted coconut. One of the homemade bow ties was also placed around the cake. Simply remove the bow tie before cutting the cake. Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade is a refreshing spring drink that goes well with Angel Food Cake and can be enjoyed by guests of all ages.
Strawberry Mousse was be served in pint sized mason jars topped with seersucker. Thank you tags were attached to the mason jars with baker’s twine. The mousse can be placed in the jars several hours before the party or even the night before.
Macaron Push Up Pops were made by simply placing extra macarons in push up pops containers. these portable goodies can be enjoyed at the party or taken home to enjoy the next day. Mini ceramic chicks and bunnies gave the table a subtle Easter vibe.
The printable party banner was dressed up by adding little bow ties on the end of the ribbon. The bow ties were also placed on the mason jar glasses used to serve the Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade.
Look for the recipe for the Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade on the blog in the next couple of days.
