This past summer, we hosted a Modern Moving Party for some close friends. Lately, the Modern Moving Collection has been a popular item in my Etsy Shop. With the end of the school year approaching and high schoolers and coeds graduating, it’s a popular time of year to people to relocate. If you’re hosting a Going Away Party soon, this party has a few ideas that you can consider incorporating.
Forget-me-not seeds are a sentimental, but inexpensive favor for party guests. As you can see in the top photo, the seeds (plus some chocolates) were wrapped like little moving boxes. The directions for these DIY Moving Box Favors were given in this post. 
Duck Tape is another moving themed item that can be incorporated in the party décor. I made simple flowers out of Duck Tape that decorated drink bottles and pedestals for the food.
Make sure to include some of the guest of honor’s favorite foods or desserts.
