One of the best parts of having a small business is meeting other small business owners. Whether it is other makers or local shop owners, it’s been such a blessing meeting others with small businesses. So much love and passion goes into small business ownership. Almost all of the small business owners I’ve met are also passionate about supporting other small business owners. One of those small business owners that I’ve been blessed to get to know is Emily Riddle of The Amsden.
The Amsden is located in downtown Versailles, Kentucky. The building, which was built in the 1890s, was meticulously renovated by Emily and her husband, before opening. It now is home to the Amsden Coffee Club, Gathered Mercantile, the Yoga Room, Casey + Sara Pictures and the Amsden Bourbon Bar.
The shop, Gathered Mercantile, has carried our candles since last Fall. The Gathered Mercantile is described as “An eclectic + modern mercantile featuring over 10 local makers + artists as well as a variety of vintage goods, home decor, fresh flowers + plants, jewelry, clothing, + accessories.” Some of my favorite local makers, such a Kayla Weber Art, Southern Drawl Creations and Designs by Ali Rose Jewelry, can also be found there. I love how Emily seeks out local makers to help stock her Shop! It’s a unique and lovely little shop that is such a great find in small Versailles Kentucky.
One of my favorite corners of the Shop is the adorable Build a Bouquet section. There are always so many beautiful to choose from! The shop also has so many great Kentucky inspired items, like vintage horse art prints. It’s the perfect place to shop for that finishing touch for any room in your house. But, don’t forget to check out the vintage clothes and jewelry that they carry, too.
While you are shopping, enjoy a cup of coffee from the Amsden Coffee Club. Their specialty drinks, like this Caramel Delight Latte, are always a delicious treat.
Do you have a retail Shop that would be interested in carrying Mirabelle Creations Soy Wine Glass Candles. If so, please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to chat with you! And, don’t forget to follow the Amsden on Instagram and Facebook.
