Summer is just flying by for us! It’s hard to believe that we have just 4 weeks until school starts back. It’s been super busy with the kids activities – it seems like we are constantly headed somewhere! I wanted to find a way for the kids to remember all of the fun things they did this summer. Also, my son’s 2nd grade teacher said one of the most important activities we could do this summer is to keep writing. So, we picked up a couple of little notebooks at the local dollar store so we could make them into Happiness Journals!
This craft was easy and very inexpensive. I purchased two small journals from the dollar store. The smaller journals are a perfect size for my son. Since writing is not his favorite activity, the smaller pages are less intimidating for him. I wrote with a permanent marker on the outside of the journals. But, it would also be fun to let the kids decorate the happiness journals themselves – whatever makes them HAPPY!
