When I work these days, my favorite thing to listen to when I am working is podcasts. I used to have the television on or Pandora radio on when I was working. But, lately, I’ve switched to listening to podcasts. Podcasts geared to creative entrepreneurs are so inspiring and listening to them has allowed me to dream bigger for my business. Not to mention that I’ve learned so much great business advice from them. I definitely have my favorites and I’m so excited to share them with you. If you have any favorite podcasts, I’d love to hear what you are listening to. Please leave your podcast favorites in the comments below.
Why Listen to Podcasts
Podcasts are basically free digital series. You can subscribe to different podcasts directly from your phone or computer. I prefer to subscribe through my iPhone using the PodCruncher app. You can search different podcasts by name or subject, then subscribe to them. Every time a new podcast episode is created, then your subscription will update to show that new podcast. So, it’s never been easier to listen to podcasts.
Right now, there is so much information out there for business owners. Course, conferences, challenges are all great way to learn about business. There are so many great options out there, but not all of them are affordable. Podcasts, on the other hand, are totally free. I’ve learned to so many great tips and strategies through podcast. Plus, many of the people who create podcasts have courses that go deeper into certain topics. First listening to their podcasts is a great way to see if you would connect with their style before investing in their course.
Jenna Kutcher is a photographer and educator. Her podcast is one of my favorites. She has some great topics, full of so much business information. I love her perspective of creating a business through creating connection and serving others. She also includes many great guests with information relevant to girl bosses.
Andy J. Miller is a designer and illustrator. Andy talks about making a living through art. If you create any type of art for your business, then Andy is so inspiring and knowledgeable about creating great art and getting paid to do that. He also gives out a lot of practical advice for creative entrepreneurs.
Those are my current top 3 podcasts for creative entrepreneurs! If you haven’t checked out podcasts or are new to listening to them, these are three great ones where you can start. Let me know if you have some suggestions for podcasts, too!
