Good morning, friends! Are you experiencing some cooler weather? We are finally getting a little cooler, here in Kentucky. It seems like our September was unusually warm, so it’s nice to have some of those cooler temps. But, is it too much to ask to keep it here? Ha! Love the cooler weather, but I am no hurry to get cold temperatures!
When I change up my dining room for Fall, I always start with the centerpiece. Our dining set is somewhat formal, but we don’t really use it that way. When the dining room is used, it’s typically for casual Sunday night suppers with family. I wanted to give the dining room a Fall vibe, but also a casual feel that we could enjoy all season.
As the base of the centerpiece, I used a leftover piece of butcher block from the countertops we put into our basement bar. Then, I stacked pumpkins, cotton picks, dried hydrangeas and pods along the butcher block. I also scattered small candle votives along the table.
At each placesetting, I stacked a woven place mat, white dinner plate, buffalo check napkins, white soup or salad bowl and a small white pumpkin. We’re in Kentucky, so at each seat, we had both a Kentucky water glass and a wine glass.
On the sideboard, I added more Fall items, like pumpkins, antlers and a wheat stalk arrangement. I chose these items because they are versatile enough that I can keep them through Thanksgiving.
Our Thanksgiving verses are hanging on each side of the large window in the Dining Room. They add a little bit of orange to the room without going overboard.
Hope you have a wonderful day!
