Certified Enneagram Coach, Deanna of Mirabelle Creations
I founded Mirabelle Creations design studio after quitting my job as an attorney. I’ve always known that my life was meant for more than just overwhelm and lack of direction. In 2018, I learned about my unique personality, strengths, and passions using the Enneagram. That knowledge helped me to make small, but meaningful shifts in my life, purpose, and relationships.
And in the biggest surprise ever – the Enneagram changed my life. I became a certified Enneagram coach and grew my creative business to levels I had only dreamed about.
A few actions steps just for Type 4s:
1. Appreciate the Mundane
Type 4s have big emotions and they enjoy situations where they can be deep and authentic. They often will avoid the commonplace, which makes doing routine tasks seem tedious and unnecessary. However, not every aspect of life can be extraordinary so learning to appreciate the ordinary and find the beauty in it. Focusing on appreciating the ordinary may even allow you to find meaning in what you previously believed was boring.
2. Let Go of Comparison
Type 4s often compare themselves to others in order to assess how they are doing. They believe that others have something that makes life easier; something that they are lacking. Constantly comparing yourself to others will keep you from seeing your unique and valuable traits. Focus on letting go of any envy and belief that you are missing something that others possess.
3. Move Forward, Anyway
Type 4s often become immobilized when intense emotions arise. Instead of being overcome by emotions, you can acknowledge those emotions, but not let them interfere with what they need to do. You can complete any task that currently needs your attention, knowing that you can come back to your emotions, later.
