Type 5 Overview:
Type 5s are the Observers or the Investigators. They are curious, rational, independent and observant.
Type 5s’ basic desire is to feel helpful and competent. They seek to be experts in many areas of their lives. Their basic fear is that they are incompetent and have less knowledge than those around them.
Type 5s tend to need a lot of alone time. They seek knowledge and a deep understanding of their world. They want to understand how the world works. They are curious about new environments. But, Type 5s’ desire to pursue knowledge comes for a fear that they don’t do things as well as other people. This can lead to them being detached from others.
If you tend to ask a lot of questions about how the world works and stand back and observe life, more than actively participate in it, you might be a Type 5.
Levels of Development for Type 5:
Type 5s can vary greatly in their behavior, depending on their current level of development. You can also move between levels of development based on different circumstances in your life. Read more about development levels here:
