Not surprisingly, Derby Day is always a big day in Kentucky. I’ve lived in Kentucky most of my life and never actually attended the Derby. But, in Kentucky, you don’t have to be at Churchill Downs to celebrate the Derby, there are Derby celebrations all over the state. One of my favorite places to spend Derby Day is at Keeneland. This year, I got to spend my Derby Day at Keeneland as as a Local Maker at the Makers Mark Booth. It was one of the best brand partnerships I’ve participated in and I’m so excited to share it with you.

I added custom lettering to over 400 glasses that day. The booth had a continuous line for more than 6 hours. Everyone loved those Makers Mark glasses so much! Getting to letter on them was such an honor. And, partnering with Makers Mark was a dream. They are such a great company to work with and my second partnership with them was just as sweet at the first partnership I had with them!
Every drop of Makers Mark is crafted with care and aged to taste. Also, every bottle of Makers Mark whisky is hand-dipped in red wax, so no two bottles are the same. The glasses that Makers Mark chose for the Derby event were also hand-dipped in their signature red wax. I got to continue that hand-crafted feel for the glasses by personalizing them on-site at the event.
If the Makers Wanted truck comes to an event near you, make sure to check it out. Makers Mark does an amazing job of creating a fabulous experience for anyone who stops by. Their love for people is not only embedded in their love for their bourbon, but also in the experiences they create!
