Most people have found this website through my Enneasta account! What’s an Enneasta? It’s simply the Enneagram side of Instagram. Enneasta is a wonderful community, full of so many creative and supportive Enneagram lovers. Being a part of the Enneasta community has been life-changing for me. And, if you have been considering starting an Enneasta account or an IG account that talks about the Enneagram in some way, this is your sign.
Keep reading to learn the 5 things I wish I had known when I started my Enneasta account:
One: Remember Your Why

When starting your Enneasta, don’t forget about why you first fell in love with the Enneagram. Tell your story to your Enneasta followers. Learning about your story and how the Enneagram has helped transform your life will help your potential followers truly and deeply connect with you. Don’t forget to regularly post about your story. It will help quickly build community and allow your Enneasta followers to trust you.
Two: Stop Focusing on Vanity Metrics

Content creators commonly get hung up on vanity metrics, like how many likes or followers they get from a post. They focus on trying to go viral. But, a better content strategy would be to try to create content that helps create impact for your followers and builds a profitable business. For so long, I was more worried about content that would be liked, instead of content that would lead followers to work with me. Likes on posts are great, but they don’t pay the bills! While you are trying to build your Enneasta follower count, remember to also be constantly trying to build your business, too.
Three: Be Yourself

People follow IG accounts of people they like and relate to on a personal basis. Think about the Enneagram accounts you follow. Are they mostly of people you like? Have there been accounts that you stopped following because you didn’t just vibe with the person or you didn’t connect with that person? So many people are afraid to show their true personality because they don’t want to turn away people. But, in doing so, they become so bland that no one connects with them. Instead, don’t be afraid to be authentic and real on your account. Doing so will allow you to find those people who like you, trust you, and will be excited to work with you!

Four: You Are Not Too Late

If you think that you can’t grow a new or small account on Instagram anymore, then I’m happy to tell you that you are wrong. People are starting new accounts on IG every day, and they are growing their accounts every single day. Enneasta accounts are no different, too. The Enneagram is fairly widespread, but there are still so many people who don’t know about it. You can start an account that uses the Enneagram and still steadily grow your account!
Also, you are not too late in life. When I grew from 5k to 100k on my Enneasta account, I was 45 years old. I had been trying to grow my IG for years, but it didn’t take off until I was in my mid-40s. You are never too old to build the Enneasta and business of your dreams.
Five: Focus on Progress over Perfection

Procrastination, due to wanting to be perfect, has killed so many IG accounts. Instead of worrying about getting your posts absolutely perfect, just get them posted. Being consistent on IG is more important than being perfect. And, if your post has a typo in it (so many of mine do 🤦🏻♀️), it will likely only make you more relatable to others. People don’t want or expect you to be perfect. What they really want is content that will help them or make their life better. So, stop trying to create the perfect content and just get your content posted, today!
