If you’re a blogger who writes about parties, party design or entertaining, then this post is just for you! Although Instagram has been an invaluable social media tool for all bloggers, it can be a great way to boost your exposure to potential clients for party bloggers. There’s so much strategy to posting on Instagram then just posting a picture and a link from your latest blog post. In order to be noticed on Instagram, you have to utilize a little strategy. Just one of the more effective Instagram strategies is including relevant hashtags to your post. Below, you will find a little advice on why to use hashtags and my favorite Instagram hashtags for party bloggers!
Why Use Hashtags
Hashtags are one of the most effective ways to introduce new people to your work. You can create the most beautiful parties and post pictures from those parties on Instagram, but they will only be noticed if new people can find you. You could rely on your current followers to share you pictures with friends. Or, you could take matters into your own hands. Using hashtags on your posts will get you in front of people who are already engaged in your type of content. They are viewing the content inside of that hashtag because they care about that content for some reason. Those are the exact people who want to find your work, so let’s make it easier for them to find you!!
How Do to Incorporate the Hashtags in Your Post
My favorite way to incorporate hashtags into my posts is in the comments below the initial post. Instead of using the hashtags in your initial comment on the picture, first post your picture. Then, right after you post the picture, write a comment on the post with your hashtag. The way I do this to make it fast and easy is that I have a saved note on my iPhone with those hashtags. Then, right after I post a picture, I can go right to the notes app, click on those hashtags, select all, copy, then past into my notes. Instagram allows you to post up to 30 hashtags per picture. I usually include between 25-30 per post.
The Most Popular Hashtags Aren’t Always the Best
One mistake that a lot of instagrammers mistake is looking for the most popular hashtags. Ideally, you should tag you posts with hashtags that vary in their popularity. For example, tagging your picture with #party will land you picture in a pool of over 100,000,000 pictures. It’s going to quickly get lost in the shuffle. Instead, try using hashtags with different amounts of posts. I like to pick a few around 1,000 posts, around 25,000 posts, around 100,000 posts and ones with up to 1,000,000 posts. So, look for hashtags with a varying amount of popularity.
The Best 30 Party Hashtags
Here are 30 of my favorite Hashtags to use! I’ve included hashtags that have around 1,000 all the way up to 1,000,000 posts. So, pick your favorite and try tagging your next party post on Instagram.
