Have you been wanting to learn brush lettering? If so, I’ve created a brand new YouTube series just for you! For the next few weeks, I’ll be posting a new video twice a week (typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Each video will include brush lettering tips that you can implement that day to make immediate improvements to your lettering. These tips are great for beginning letterers. But, there are also some tips that might be new for seasoned letterers, too. Most of the videos are between 3-5 minutes, so they are a quick watch for you. Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube Channel, so you don’t miss out on any of the videos.
Lettering Tip 1: How to Hold Your Pen
When I teach my in person lettering classes, this is one of the questions that I get the most often: How do I hold my pen? There are actually two options that work great for lettering. Simply choose the style that works best for you. Just holding your pen in the right way will make an instant improvement in your lettering.
Lettering Tip 2: The Best Way to Practice Your Lettering
Practicing your lettering is the only way to keep improving. But, you also need to practice the right way. Continuing to practice in an ineffective way will not result in fast improvements on your lettering. Instead of spinning your wheels, check out this video for the right way to practice your lettering.
