I’ve been looking forward to this day for a while! It’s the start of the 2017 Holiday Party Hop! If you’re missed the 2016 Holiday Party Hop, and are new to our Party Hops, then you are in for a treat. I’ve gathered up 15 other creative and talented party gals to give you some of our best entertaining ideas.
Organizing the Holiday Party Hop is a breeze with so many great party friends involved! And, I know that they are going to bring it, just like they always do! I’m starting off the party with our DIY Custom Color Iridescent Christmas Ornaments.
.
These ornaments are the perfect way to create Christmas ornaments to match any color palette. So, if you are decorating and finding it difficult to find just the right colors, these are a simple and fun DIY. You could also use them to match any party color palette. You could also make these with regular glass ornaments, but I just love the shine that the Iridescent glass ornaments give these. It’s especially pretty in pastel colors.
You can even personalize these ornaments by writing the names with gold paint pens.
Materials Needed:
Clear Iridescent Ornaments
Acrylic Paint
Paper Towels
Paint Pens (if personalizing)
Instructions:
1. Remove cap from ornament.
2. Drop about 5-6 drops of paint into ornament. Place cap back onto ornament.
3. Wrap the top of the ornament with paper towel and shake ornament to move paint around. (Make sure to wrap the top with paper towels because there are small holes in the top. Paint may leak out while shaking if there is no paper towel). If ornament isn’t completely covered with paint, add a little more and shake again. Let ornaments dry. If you want to personalize them, add names using a paint pen.

These are so pretty! I was ready for a difficult DIY but I love how easy they are! The iridescence really makes it. Since I can’t letter I’d probably use my Cricut to add the names! Such a great way to get the color you need.
Yes! Adding vinyl cricut names is a great idea, Bri!
