Hello Friends! Are you almost ready for Christmas? I’m getting so close and hope to finish up my gift wrapping, today! Hopefully, I’ll receive that one last present that shipped late last week. I’m going to turn on a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie and knock it all out!
Today, I’m sharing a few of the touches that I added to my living room for Christmas. I ordered a new, 7 foot, flocked Christmas tree from King of Christmas, this year. I’d been eyeing flocked trees for a couple of years and finally decided to pull the trigger this year. This tree was extremely reasonably priced, so it made it easier to go for it.
I love how much lighter the tree looks when they are flocked. The lighter, whiter tree looks perfect in my light blue living room, so I’m so happy that I went for it.
I went with a winter wonderland theme on the tree, decorating it with gold, white and pale blue ornaments. It seems like every year, I change up which ornaments I put on all the trees in our house. One tip I would definitely remember with flocked trees is to get lights on a white strand. The lights blend into the tree much more than lights on a green strand.
For our mantle, I first placed a fake garland on the mantle. Then, I clipped several pieces of greenery from our evergreen trees and shrubs from our yard. I placed those pieces in the garland to give it a fuller look. I didn’t have a flocked fake garland, but I am going to look for one for next year. Instead, I found several flocked evergreen floral picks from Michaels and placed in the garland.
I also placed a few magnolia leaf picks into the garland to give it a fuller look. On either side of the television, I placed two glitter ombre cone trees.
On the top of the piano, I placed a piece of white fur, then topped it with several mini wood, glittered or brush trees. Even though the trees are all different types, I stuck to either a white or blue color.
