The Super Bowl will be here soon, which means SNACKS! Yes, it’s one of the biggest party nights of the year. And, the perfect foods for the Super Bowl are snack foods, including bite-sized desserts. So, if you will be hosting a Super Bowl party soon, don’t forget to plan the desserts, too!
This Football Dessert Table was designed for a tailgating party during college football season. It was created for the University of Kentucky football coaches’ wives and children. But, the items for used for this Football Dessert Table aren’t just for college football. They would work great for a NFL Super Bowl party, too!
Incorporate your team colors into your desserts
For the desserts for this party, I incorporated our team colors, blue and white, into most of the desserts. The cake pops I made were topped with blue and white sprinkles. I ordered some amazing donuts from Metropolitan Donuts & Coffee, which incorporated the color palette into their delicious donuts. Finally, the cookies I ordered from Patty Cakes were made to coordinate with the football party theme. Decorated sugar cookies are always a great idea because guests love them and they can be match to any party theme.
Even the cupcakes weren’t actually blue and white, football themed cupcake toppers brought the colors into the desserts. Using cupcakes toppers are a great way to personalize a party for your guests or tea.
If you aren’t pulling for one of the two teams that make it to the Super Bowl, but are just hosting a viewing party, you can still pick a fun color palette based on the game. One option would be to incorporate one team’s colors on half of the dessert table, then the other team’s colors on the other half. Another option would be to just pick a green and brown color palette to coordinate to the football field grass and the color of footballs.
