Is it any concicidence that Cinco de Mayo falls at the beginning of summer? Probably one of the best summer time cocktails is the margarita! So, Cinco de Mayo is the perfect day to sit on your back porch, sipping your favorite margarita recipe while enjoying the summer-like weather. Today, I’m sharing a delcious Raspberry Lime Margarita recipe.
Last year for my husband’s 40th birtday, he requested a Fiesta Party. We had a burrito bar from Qdoba and yummy margaritas, including Raspberry Lime Margarita. With Cinco de Mayo coming up next week, we will definitely make this yummy Raspberry Lime Margarita Recip again.

Raspberry Lime Margarita (adapted from How Sweet It Is)
6 ounces Grand Marnier
4 1/2 ounces Tequila
6 ounces lime juice
8 ounces raspberry simple syrup (recipe below)
lime + fresh raspberries for garnish
Add Grand Marnier, Tequila, lime juice and raspberry simply syrup to pitcher. Stir. Add a few fresh raspberries and lime wedges to pitcher. Chill for 2 or more hours before serving. Serve over ice.
For Raspberry Simple Syrup: Add 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and continue boiling until the sugar dissolves. Remover from heat, let cool completely. Add 1 cup of syrup and 1 1/2 cup to raspberries to a blender. Blend until smooth. Strain out raspberry season
