Hello there, friends! After what seemed to be a long winter, we are now on the other side of it. Can I get a hallelujah?! It’s so nice to see the grass turning green and color on the trees. With the warmer temperatures, it’s time to add a few Spring décor touches around the house to brighten it up a little bit. Here are a few of my favorite ideas for adding some Spring to your house:
1. Add some green.
During Spring, the grass, trees, and plants all start to turn beautiful shades green. Why not add some green to your house? Live plants are a great addition to a house. But, if you don’t have a green thumb, you can add greenery in other ways. This adorable moss bunny is a great example of adding greenery without having to care for a live plant.
2. Change Out your Artwork
Now is the time to consider the art you have been displaying around the home. I always have at least one or two pieces of seasonal framed art around my house. If you haven’t already, change out your artwork with a Spring quote or beautiful floral print. This “He is not Here For He is Risen” print is a great choice because although it has an Easter theme, it could also be left up all year long. 3. Add Fresh Flowers
Fresh flowers in the house automatically evoke Spring. Not only are they gorgeous, they often smell just as nice! During this time of year, I frequently pick up an inexpensive bouquet at the grocery store simply to add some color to a room.
4. Add a Few Spring Treats to a Kitchen Tray
Jelly beans, bunny shaped marshmallows and striped straws add a cute, festive look to a corner bar in our kitchen. A little secret that works at my house is that if I add candy to jars with tops on it, my kids don’t really eat it. I’m not sure if they are too lazy to take the lids off, but it totally works. If I were to sit these items in a bowl, they would be gone in a matter of minutes; but in the jars, they will last for weeks.
5. Update Trays
Update any decorative trays that you have around the house with some Spring themed items. The speckled eggs I made a couple of weeks ago are now in a tray on the farmhouse table in my kitchen. To our coffee table tray, I removed all of the pine cones and replaces them white or pink natural twigs balls.
6. Change out Pillows
In winter, I add lots of fur or other cozy pillows. But, with the arrival of Spring, I’ve removed those pillows and added some Spring themed items, like this beauty from Craftberry Bush.
7. Spring Creatures
The truth is I’ve never met a little white ceramic creature that I didn’t love. I know that’s kind of strange, but it comes in handy during Spring. Spring is a great time to add a few little birds, ducks, chicks and bunnies around the house.
8. Don’t Forget about the Kitchen
Although the kitchen is probably the most function room in the house, you can still add a few Spring decorative touches. Consider changing out candles and hand soaps to Spring scents. Add a couple of pastel dishtowels. Or add some fresh flowers to an island.
Refreshing your home with a little bit of Spring décor will add a cheerfulness to your house this time of year. And, it’s a great way to show a little love for those that you share your home with. Thanks for stopping by, today!
