Earlier this month, I designed a 5×7 Fruits of the Spirit Collection after listening to a podcast from North Point Community Church. I loved that sermon so much that I knew I wanted to hang the prints somewhere in my house. I didn’t really have a place in mind for the prints, but after they were printed, I knew the perfect spot for them would be in the small bathroom off our kitchen.
I looked for some inexpensive gold frames for the prints since there were gold foil polka dots on the ceiling. After searching around, most of the thin gold frames I found were more expensive than I wanted to spend. So, I decided to pull out my favorite gold spray paint and paint black frames from Target. Our local Target has these frames in stock matted for both 5×7″ and 8×10″. But, they can also be purchased online.
Two days after I hung the prints, I was reminded of why I don’t buy really expensive frames. This bathroom is right by the door out to our garage. My son for some reason decided to slam the back door as hard as could when he left the house. I think sometimes he just like to see how strong he is 🙂 The Joy print popped right off the wall and crashed to the ground, shattering. Since the frames were just $4 each at Target, I picked one up the next time I stopped in Target. I may have picked another extra one just in case he decides to test his strength again some time soon!
