This little breakfast nook is a one hard worker. We eat pretty much all of our meals, here. It’s a homework station, snack spot, and sometimes a collector of important papers. Here’s what it looked like when we moved in our new house a few weeks ago:
The one change I have made to it is painting the back wall a light blue. Most of the house is currently beige, so we’re slowly adding a little color on the wall. But, mostly, color has been added in the décor. The large teal pillows I purchased at Target. The white scalloped pillows I ordered from C. Wonder. And the little yellow chevron pillow I made a couple of years ago. My hubby and I fortuitously found this old farm table at a garage sale about 10 years ago. It’s rustic, worn and perfectly imperfect.
So, this is where I need your help! The chairs that normally live at this table are cheery yellow.
This weekend, I moved the yellow chairs into our dining room for extra seating for my mom’s birthday party. I moved the light blue chairs from the kids’ loft down to this table and I kind of liked what I saw.
So what do you think? Should I leave those yellow chairs sunshine yellow or should they be painted the same blue that is on the wall?
