I hope you have enjoyed your holidays! I didn’t necessarily intend to take the whole week off from blogging, but it has been a wonderful time to spend with my precious family. Hope that you have also been able to spend much needed time with your loved ones!
I’m sharing a few last minute ideas for your New Year’s Eve party. This pink and sparkly holiday dessert table was created for the December edition of TOPS in Lex Magazine. The pink and gold themed party would work well for a last minute New Year’s Eve party, too!
The desserts for this party followed the pink and sparkly theme. First, Lemon Sparkle Cookies were covered with pink and gold sparkling sugar. The Cranberry White Chocolate Shortbread Cookies were dipped in white chocolate and decorated with pink sparkles. The signature cocktail for the event was a Swizzle Stick Cosmo. The rock candy swizzle stick upgrades an ordinary cosmopolitan into something special for the New Year. For the cookie and drink recipes, please visit TOPS in Lex.
For the decorations, a simple tassel garland was made using gold ribbon. This garland is a great way to use up left-over Christmas ribbon. Sparkly candles also decorated the table. The candles can be quickly made by covering a regular candle with modge podge. Then, roll the candle into Epsom salt and re-cover with modge podge to seal.
For a favor, guests can take home Vanilla Lavender Sugar Scrub. The inexpensive, all natural ingredients will leave you feeling good about giving this indulgent little gift! For the sugar scrub ingredients, please visit TOPS in Lex.
